Alicia enjoys a cheeky flirt with Ryan

As complicated as Rhona’s life has become over the last few months, things are about to become even more complicated this week. A hospital scan reveals that her unborn child may have Down Syndrome and Paddy is tasked with the job of telling the baby's father, Marlon.

Together the three of them spend the week talking about her growing worries about the pregnancy and decide how they will all cope in the future to help give the baby everything they will need.

Meanwhile Chas is having second thoughts about ruining everyone’s Christmas and tries to convince Charity that she believes Carl has changed. However she rethinks everything as soon as she lays her eyes on Carl and his mistress, Eve.

After a rocky start, where her stressed out, angry outburst ruins the village choir service, things really start to look up for Hazel. Her friends and neighbours rally around to help with the work at Dale Head and when a new group of builders arrive things are looking up.

Ashley wants to donate the church collection to her and Jackson directly. However although Hazel is touched, she says that she can't accept the grand gesture and decides to put a bit of money towards it herself. Of course, the big question now is who is paying for the new builders and spiralling costs?

Elsewhere while Alicia enjoys flirting with Ryan in the pub, Jacob creeps downstairs, puts his coat over his roman soldier costume, lets himself out of the house and heads into the night.
