Corrie star Craig Gazey has said he is pleased with recent improvements in his character’s love life on the popular ITV show.

Last week Graeme Proctor stood up Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) to help out troubled neighbour Tina McIntyre played by Michelle Keegan.

Speaking on This Morning the actor said he was glad to see Rosie Webster left disappointed after she treated him so badly saying "I thought it was great that he stood her up! She's been awful to him. He's the nicest guy ever and she's basically been so horrible to him."

Graeme and Tina grow closer in the coming weeks as he tries to help her deal with the loss of her father Joe.

Gazey said: "What is really nice about this is that the thing that happens with Tina is great - it's the first time that he actually isn't trying. He's being very genuine and trying to look after her."

It is reported that Coronation Street salon owner Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) is set to shock family, friends and employees when she announces her plans for the future.

Audrey reportedly says: "I don't want any ties. I'm selling up completely and going to live on Alonissos with Lewis and that's that."

While the makers of Coronation Street have refused to comment on Audrey's upcoming storylines, a spokesperson for the show said: "With her daughter Gail (Helen Worth) facing life in jail, it can't be denied Audrey would want to bid farewell to the Street."

An insider said: "[Leyla's] happiness could be short lived as Alicia's arrival sends a reminder that you can't escape your past, however murky and scandal-ridden it might be. There's clearly bad blood between the warring sisters, but does Leyla have something to hide?"

I'm a Yorkshire girl so a part in Emmerdale is a dream come true! Alicia is a complex character, she's not all she seems and she's set to make life quite complicated for Leyla."

The blonde, famed for her "who is she?" outburst, filmed herself trying out for the part of Poppy Rogers, a role that show bosses are casting through a UK-wide contest.

In her piece, Nikki likens herself to the character, saying she's free-spirited, loves going to festivals and is a real risk-taker.

Hundreds of hopefuls have entered the contest, which will allow one aspiring actress to appear on the Australian soap for four weeks.

Nikki was a contestant on the seventh series of 'Big Brother', and briefly reappeared in the 10th series to take part in a task.

News - Kylie welcome back on Neighbours
Neighbours executive producer Susan Bower has announced that Kylie Minogue is welcome to make a return to the soap anytime she wishes.

The show boss made the invitation in response to a recent interview which saw Minogue ponder reprising her iconic role as car mechanic Charlene Robinson.

Speaking last week, the popstar confessed that it could be "so much fun" to film a one-off episode which would see Charlene "screech up the drive in her souped-up Mini which she's been working on all the time".

In a statement released on 'Neighbours' official website, Bower commented: "Kylie can arrive in a Mini, in a hot-air balloon or even parachute, anyway she desires, we would welcome her with open arms."

Minogue had also told reporters that "a chocolate drink called Milo and the biscuits, Tim Tams" are two Australian products which make her homesick, prompting Bower to promise that a huge supply of both will be put in her dressing room should she accept the invitation.

The star played Charlene for two years before bowing out to focus on music in 1988.
