Occupation: Student Nurse
Age: 23
"Hello, my name is Saoirse McGrath, and I come from Skryne, a rural parish in Co Meath where GAA takes centrestage.
"I am in my third year of a BSc in General Nursing in Dublin City University. Most of my training is completed in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, one of the busiest hospitals in the country. I wish to pursue a Master's and become an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, specialising in cardiac care, following my primary degree.
"Sport is paramount in my life; I played football and ran for Meath. I have two Leinster athletics medals in the 800m. I love meeting new people and have a passion for music, in particular artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Simon and Garfunkel - the Golden Oldies!
"I look forward to what my year as the Meath Rose will bring! I am excited about all of the people I will meet along the way, and the memories I am about to make!"
