23-year-old Deirbhle was born in London and moved to the Lilywhite county when she was 3-years-old. Her parents, Niall and Berna, are both from Athlone and she spent a lot of summers there as a child on the River Shannon.

Deirbhle has just completed her Professional Masters in Education at Maynooth University to become a Secondary School teacher and am carrying out my teaching placement in Clongowes Wood College.

Deirbhle plays Gaelic Football for her local club, Cappagh, and spends her summers coaching GAA all over Kildare. This summer she volunteered at the Michaela Harte Foundation Camp for young girls encompassing fun, wellbeing and faith.

"I have a strong love and proud appreciation for Irish culture and for spreading the word of what this little country of ours has to offer."
