23-year-old Niamh is from Castlegar in the heart of Galway city. She spent four years studying in GMIT Mayo where she was awarded an honours degree in general nursing. She has been working as a staff nurse in the Acute Medical Unit, University Hospital Galway since December 2015.
Niamh says she is proud that many of my closest friends were found through playing camogie. In recent years she has grown to love travelling which allows her to appreciate the different scenery, culture and history of many countries.
However, being away has showed her the brilliance of her vivid Co Galway.
"I hope to do both my County and the people proud while involved in the Rose of Tralee Festival."
