26-year-old Sarah grew up in Staffordshire with parents, Dermott and Kilkenny-born Ann. On her father’s side, her grandad is from Ballinlough, Co Roscommon and her grandmother was from Co Limerick, Pallas Green. On her mother’s side her grandparents were born and raised in Mullinavat, Co Kilkenny. 

Sarah was educated in a local Catholic school before completing her first degree at Newman University in Creative Arts. She then completed a PGCE in education with part masters and is now a primary school teacher.

Sarah is a member of the Irish community in Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Derby. She is very passionate about food (burgers), family and friends and loves for musical theatre. She was awarded distinction grade in classical singing and sings locally, raising money for various charities. 

Since being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder after a car accident she has linked with the charity Mind to help support other people who may be suffering with other forms of mental health.
