Julie is 26 and live at the foothills of Mt Leinster in Ballindaggin, Wexford. She is the second-eldest in her family and works as a primary school teacher at Boolavogue National School. She also works as an educational tutor with the Dyslexic Association of Ireland.
She recently completed a master’s programme in Waterford Institute of Technology in the area of Leadership and Management in Education and in September hopes to embark on PhD studies in the area of outdoor instruction within the Irish primary school.
Passionate about music and Irish dance, Julieplays the trumpet, piano, tin whistle and bodhran, performing at the National Concert Hall in Dublin and the National Opera House in Wexford. She has also competed nationally and internationally at Irish dancing, and volunteers with her local dance group.
Julie has travelled across Europe, Asia and the USA in recent years – with many more trips on the cards.
