Sheila Ryan is 24 and hails from a small parish in North Tipperary called Toomevara. A proud farmer’s daughter and the youngest of four siblings, like most Tipperary people she's very passionate about GAA, camogie in particular.

She has played camogie with Toomevara since the age of five and featured on the Tipperary Senior Camogie for five years, winning a Minor 'A' All Ireland Title in 2011 and also won two Ashbourne All Ireland Medals playing with WIT.

Horse racing is also a major aspect of Sheila's family life while in her spare time she also enjoys travelling, fashion and reading.

Following on her desire to work in a caring profession she's currently working as a full-time nurse within the South Tipperary Mental Health Services and aims to work in child and adolescence mental health services.

Becoming the Tipperary Rose is a childhood dream come true and Sheila's working alongside Pieta House during her time in the role.
