Anne Lynam lives in a small area called Hortland, which sits on the border between Meath and Kildare. She says her nana Molly is a huge inspiration and one of the main influences in her entering the Rose of Tralee. A graduate of Health Promotion from Waterford Institute of Technology, Anne is now studying to achieve her pharmacy technician qualification.
She describes herself as having "a passion for performance", taking part in dancing and music growing up and becoming a member of the local youth choir. She says taking part in the Rose of Tralee has helped to revitalise her love of singing and performing.
"Not only am I fulfilling my own personal dream of becoming a Rose, I am also fulfilling my nana Molly's vision of me representing Meath in this year's Festival."
