Ever since early childhood Fainche has always done her own thing. She is immensely proud of her family history. The McCormacks come from a long line of hill farmers and she is now in the tenth generation to live in Grinan. Her middle name is Ailish after her paternal grandmother who along with her great grandmother (Blue Nanny) would always look forward to the Rose of Tralee and would have relished every moment of the experience with her.
