Our first couple on the new season of DWTS are Mrs Brown's Boys actor Danny O'Carroll and his professional dancer partner Salome Chachua, who is making her DWTS debut. They did a Foxtrot to Obviously by McFly.

Actor and producer Danny, who is best known for playing Buster Brady in Mrs Brown's Boys on stage and screen, is following in the footsteps of his aunt and co-star Eilish O'Carroll, who took part in the show in 2019; and former co-star Rory Cowan, who took part in Dancing with the Stars last year.

The judges have had their say.

Arthur said: "You opened the season in style." He awarded them a 6.

Brian said: "It was a pretty good start. Your first step was a bit of clunky but Buster can bust a move." 5 from Brian.

Loraine added: "You have a very good dancing frame, Danny. You used your feet well - I'd like to see more. You have potential." It's a 5 from Loraine.

Karen said: "What a way to open up the show. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. You have great potential." 6 from new judge Karen.

The couple were awarded a very respectable score of 22.
