Ireland's Eurovision Song Contest entry Bambie Thug has improved their odds to win the competition in Sweden.

The Cork singer is competing in tonight's first semi-final at the Malmö Arena with Doomsday Blue and is looking ever more likely to be the first Irish contestant since 2018 to make the final.

Ladbrokes is giving Bambie Thug 1/25 odds to qualify with 8/1 placed on them to win their semi-final.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "All eyes are on Bambie Thug right now and our traders are clearly convinced Ireland have a great chance of going all the way in Sweden."

The bookmaker has also slashed odds from 16/1 to just 9/1 on Bambie Thug clinching victory.

Croatia's Baby Lasagne with the infectious Rim Tim Tagi Dim is on 11/8, while Switzerland's Nemo with the operatic-infused dance track The Code is priced at 7/2.
