Imelda May has announced a string of dates on an upcoming Ireland and UK tour this summer.

The Johnny Got a Boom Boom singer will play seven dates across Ireland between June and July, culminating in her support slot for Bruce Springsteen in Kilkenny on July 28th.

The singer will kick off her tour in London before heading to Ireland. May will perform across Cork, Mayo, Galway, Dublin, Wicklow and Waterford.

This is the first tour for the 38 year-old singer following the birth of her first child, Violet. May performed at the New Year's Eve concert in Dublin's City Centre last December, giving crowds a glance at her then four month-old daughter.

The full Irish dates are as follows:

Friday June 28: Daytripper Festival, Waterford

Sunday June 30: Westport Festival, Mayo

Sunday July 7: Groove Festival, Kilruddery, Wicklow

Tuesday July 9: Live at the Marquee, Cork

Thursday July 11: Iveagh Gardens, Dublin

Friday July 26: Galway Arts Festival, Galway

Sunday July 28: Nowlan Park, Kilkenny (Bruce Springsteen support)

May will also perform in Oxford, Wiltshire, Lorient and Devon in the UK between the Irish dates.
