Finnish Rambo versus Nazis. A gory grindhouse of fun.
We're in a remote area of Finland, it's 1944 and we've just met Aatami (Jorma Tommila), a grizzled soldier turned prospector as he strikes it rich, big time, with a life-changing amount of gold. He loads up his satchel to begin his trek home. However, there are soldiers about, desperate Nazis who see riches as their way of avoiding the repercussions of being on the wrong side of history when they inevitably lose the war.

Aatami wastes no time in showing these soldiers that he's not one to be pushed around and robbed, far from it. Knives in skulls, many broken bones and landmines to the face follow. Turns out this soldier, nicknamed 'The Immortal', is legendary for a reason.

It's not subtle, but it's a lot of fun. If you enjoy the ultraviolence of a Tarantino flick, the furious action of a John Wick movie and are willing to suspend your disbelief, this is the film that will have you cackling away with giddy abandon.

Don't expect a history lesson (everybody speaks English), but do expect to have a load of craic watching this one.
