Former talent manager Scooter Braun said meeting his "extraordinary" girlfriend, Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney, was "one of the biggest surprises ever".

The couple made their relationship Instagram official earlier this month with a series of loved-up snaps together at the Stagecoach Festival in California, following almost a year of speculation.

While appearing on Suzy Weiss's Second Thought podcast on Thursday, the 44-year-old American businessman, who is best known for helping launch pop star Justin Bieber to fame, and has worked with stars including Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Kanye West, spoke highly of his "kind, generous and smart" girlfriend - although he did not name the Euphoria star.

As Braun reflected on how he defines his self-worth, he said: "I can define self-worth in myself and my friends, in my relationship, in the people that love me and the people that I love."

Host Weiss then asked the former talent manager about his relationship, to which he responded: "I’ve met an extraordinary woman, who is kind and generous and real and down to earth, and one of the biggest surprises ever, and there you go."

Braun was then asked whether he is tuning in to the latest series of hit HBO teen drama Euphoria, which Sweeney stars in as adult content creator Cassie Howard.

He said: "I am catching it.

"I’m biased. I like it. I think there’s been an incredible performance by a certain actress."

US actress Sweeney is best known for her role in Euphoria which made her a star and has since appeared in films including Once Upon A Time In Hollywood (2019), Anyone But You (2023) and The Housemaid (2025).

The star, 28, was previously engaged to businessman Jonathan Davino, whom she dated for seven years, and the two split up in 2025.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan in January, amid rumours linking her to Braun, she reflected on keeping her love life private and said: "I think it’s important to have some things for myself."

Braun was previously married to health activist Yael Cohen and they have three children together, but they split up in 2022.

Braun retired from music management in 2023 to focus on his business ventures and is also famed for his highly controversial dispute with chart-topper Taylor Swift, which came after he acquired the recordings of her first six studio albums when he bought her former label in 2019.

When asked whether he has any future ventures on the horizon, Braun said: "I think I’m a little restless.

"I think, for me, I’m enjoying my relationship, I’m enjoying my children, I’m enjoying my friends. I’m enjoying my life. And I’m restless a little bit.

"Maybe I want to build something, but I’m going to be patient this time and grateful for what I have and be grateful to be around the people that I have in my life."
