Galway footballer Seán Fitzgerald is set to appear on the new series of ITV's Love Island, which kicks off next month.
Hosted by Maya Jama, the reality series returns to Virgin Media Play and Virgin Media Two for its 13th season on 1 June as a new group of singles prepare to find love under the Mallorcan sun.
The 25-year-old primary school teacher said he does not plan to get involved in any drama on the show, but he added that he "might be mixing it".
The sportsman said that if he sees someone he likes in the villa, "I'm going for it and nothing's gonna stop me."
Also joining the Irishman on the dating show is Robyn, 21, from Liverpool, who says her type is "tall, fair, muscular, with nice teeth - a pretty boy".
She added: "I'm more into personality though. They've got to make me laugh, be charming and have good manners."
The surveyor says finding love on the show is her "only goal", continuing: "There may be a little bit of drama, but I'm going in there for myself, so I've got to do what I've got to do.
"But I would like to think I'm a girl's girl and that I handle situations quite well. I've got a mature brain."
Business owner Lorenzo, 28, from Hertfordshire, said his type is "traditionally blonde", adding: "I quite like a posh girl. One feature I look at is a girl's arms, I don't know why.
"It's really strange! Imagine like a Jessica Alba or an Angelina Jolie kind of arm and neck, I find that very elegant. Very niche, I know!"
Meanwhile, student Mica, 21, who is originally from Barbados but lives in London, said she would be turned off by a "really egotistical, cringey man".
She added: "That's not my vibe at all. I can't have someone who's more into themselves then they are me. They need to be obsessed with me."
Also joining the show is Ellie, 24, a real estate videographer from West Lothian.
She's looking for a man who is "tall, dark and handsome" with a "pretty face".
Ellie says that while she's looking for love, she doesn't want to "fight for it" and plans to handle the competition with confidence.
Contestant number six is model Samraj, 25, from Birmingham.
He says he doesn't have a type and believes that if you're cheeky enough, "you can get away with everything".
Samraj describes himself as "competitive with everything in my life" and reckons he could be the series' dark horse.
Lola, 28, is a detective from Kent whose type is "tall, Italian-looking", adding that "funny goes such a long way".
She said she is "not overly into drama", explaining: "I do like watching it, but I don't want to be a part of it."
Samuel, 25, is an electrician from Dudley who would like to meet "someone classy, mature, blonde, fun, and someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously".
"I don't want someone who's rude," he stressed. "There's no reason you can't get along with people. I also can't stand fake or two-faced people."
Angelista, 24, is a nurse from Staffordshire who wants "a quietly confident man with nice teeth".
"I'll put myself in the position to be seen by the guys so they know I'm interested, but I'm not gonna beg it," she added. "I'll be in the mix, 100%. I'm not watching in the back."
Love Island returns on Monday, 1 June on Virgin Media Play and Virgin Media Two.
