Tell us three things about yourself . . .
We are big Leeds United fans, three of us ride motorbikes, we go to the Brown Cow pub in Keighley after every practice.
How would you describe your music?
Charlie (drummer): We call ourselves indie-punk pioneers because the songs are rooted in the riff-driven indie sounds of the noughties but with the pace and frenetic energy of punk thrown in.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Jack (lead guitar): We're drawn to strong riffs and that raw energy that comes from playing as fast as we can, leaning into the punkier edge of indie rock. Early Arctic Monkeys, The Subways, and the Definitely Maybe era of Oasis have all been big influences on our sound. From a live perspective, bands like The Libertines and The Cribs showed us that a great show often comes down to energy, attitude, and stage presence just as much as being the tightest band on stage.
What was the first gig you ever attended?
Lewis (bass guitar): The Darkness and Black Stone Cherry.
What was the first record you ever bought/downloaded?
Jake (vocals and rhythm guitar): Vision Valley by The Vines.
What is your favourite song right now?
Charlie: Cowboy Song from Live and Dangerous by Thin Lizzy.
What’s your favourite lyrics of all time?
Jack: Bring It On Down by Oasis - "You're the outcast, you're the underclass, But you don't care because you're living fast, You're the un-invited guest who stays 'till the end, I know you've got a problem that the devil sends, You think they're talking 'bout you but you don't know who, I'll be scraping your life from the sole of my shoe tonight".
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Lewis: Dreams by The Cranberries.
