Billie Eilish has said she was "filled with the desire to be on stage" from a young age after watching her brother perform at small venues.
The Bad Guy hitmaker has teamed up with director James Cameron for her new 3D concert film Hit Me Hard and Soft, which was captured during her sold-out world tour.
Speaking to 2FM's Emma Power, Cameron, best known for blockbuster movies Titanic and Avatar, said Eilish’s tour came at the "perfect timing".
"Well, I actually proposed it to Billie that we shoot the show in 3D. It was spontaneous. We had been building all of these camera systems and so on. We’d done concert shows in the past - I hadn’t directed them, but my company had, including the Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, one that you [Billie] love so much. But that was back in the previous incarnation of 3D, and we were ready to go to the next level.
"We were actually looking for something worthy, and it just lined up. It was perfect timing.
"I had been aware of Billie as a performer and of her music for a long time, but I wasn’t a fan who knew all the lyrics. Now I can probably sing them all. In fact, I’ve got these songs stuck in my mind for the rest of my life," he laughed.

Eilish recalled that her first concerts were watching her brother Finneas O'Connell’s band in small venues, and admits it gave her the urge to perform.
"My first concert was probably my brother Finneas’s band," she explained. "They would do little shows in small venues, and I would sit in the corner thinking, 'I want to be up there.’ At the same time, I was like, it’s my brother - and look how good he looks up there.
"I was just filled with the desire to be on stage. I think all my first concerts were just my brother’s band."
Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour hits cinemas on Friday, 8 May.
