Colin Farrell and Ralph Fiennes reuniting for new comedy

It is reported that Colin Farrell is reuniting with his In Bruges co-star Ralph Fiennes for Art, an English-language adaptation of the play of the same name by French playwright Yasmina Reza.

US entertainment trade publication Deadline, which first reported the news, says Farrell and Fiennes will be joined by The Secret Agent star Wagner Moura in the central trio.

The IMDb logline for Art says it "follows three long-time friends whose relationship fractures when one buys an expensive white painting, another finds it absurd, and the third is caught trying to mediate their conflict over what constitutes art".

Art will also reunite Farrell and Fiennes with director Fernando Meirelles, who has directed Farrell in the detective series Sugar and Fiennes in the big-screen thriller The Constant Gardener.

Double Oscar winner Christopher Hampton (The Father, Dangerous Liaisons) has adapted Reza's play for the screen.

Farrell will next be seen in season two of Sugar, arriving on Apple TV on Friday, 19 June.
