Dublin actor Peter M Smith has been playing late Thin Lizzy front man Phil Lynott in theatre show Moonlight: The Philip Lynott Enigma but next week he turns action hero in new bilingual Irish/Spanish action thriller Code Red: Spain.
The movie, which also stars Footballers Wives Extra Time actress Francesca Kingdon, arrives on streaming sites this Thursday and is set in a remote Andalusian villa where a siege unfolds over 24 hours.
Drimnagh-born stage and film actor Smith has been portraying Lynott in Moonlight since last year and he has also appeared in Netflix series Who is Erin Carter? and stars in Guy Ritchie's upcoming film In the Grey with Rosamund Pike and Jake Gyllenhaal.
Smith lives near Barcelona with his Colombian wife, with whom he has three daughters.
Kingdon has previously worked with directors Harry Enfield and Barnaby Southcombe and played lead in Madonna's directorial debut Filth and Wisdom.
The synopsis for Code Red: Spain, which was directed by Moonlight director Jason Figgis, reads, "Estelle (Kingdon), a mob wife turned state witness, is desperately hiding with her young son, awaiting extraction into witness protection. Time is not on her side; both her husband and his enemies are determined to silence her.
"Protecting her are two army veterans - the methodical Solomon Pearce (Smith) and the unpredictable, battle-scarred Thomas Twelvetrees.

"As external threats close in on the villa, the tension escalates, transforming the once safe haven into a battleground of mistrust and violence.
"When survival hinges on hard choices, Estelle must confront the stark realities of her past and the cost of betraying the dangerous life she once knew".
Code Red: Spain is streaming from 30 April on Google, Amazon, Vudu and Tubi.
