Oasis guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs was welcomed as a special visitor to Dublin Port today, taking a behind-the-scenes tour of the ships and sights, including Poolbeg Lighthouse.
Claire Percy, Head of External Affairs at Dublin Port, said staff were "delighted" to welcome Bonehead and show him "the vital role the port plays in connecting Ireland to the world".
"Last August, we supported the delivery of the Oasis stage infrastructure for their hugely anticipated Croke Park concerts, so it was a great opportunity to showcase the scale and teamwork involved, and to highlight Dublin Port's role in enabling major live events as well as trade and tourism," she continued.
Commenting on his visit on Instagram, Bonehead said: "Massive thank you to Lynette, Claire, Eoin, Paul, Mellissa, Sean and Robbie and everyone else we met today for the tour of Dublin port and the Bay.
"Glad I didn't crash the pilot boat! See you all soon. X"
The Manchester-born guitarist's roots are in Co Down and Co Mayo.
