British grime artist and producer Skepta is due to stand trial on Thursday on charges including alleged drug-driving and speeding.

Joseph Adenuga, 43, who performs as Skepta, is charged with driving his Mercedes-Maybach with tetrahydrocannabinol in his system on 14 May last year in High Wycombe. Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is a substance found in cannabis.

He is also accused of driving at 37mph in a 30mph zone in his Rolls-Royce Phantom on 20 November 2023.

A further charge alleges that he failed to provide information to Thames Valley Police relating to the driver of the Rolls-Royce.

Skepta is known for tracks including That's Not Me and has had two top 10 singles and three top 10 albums in the UK.
