Actress Joy Harmon, who was known for her role in the 1967 film Cool Hand Luke, has died at the age of 87.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for the family of the American actress, and said her "talent left a lasting impact on audiences everywhere".
Prison drama Cool Hand Luke starred Paul Newman, but Harmon's character Lucille, did not have any lines.
Her scene, in which she seductively washed a car as prisoners looked on, was what she was best known for.
She also appeared in the 1965 film Village Of The Giants and in a number of TV series, including The Odd Couple, The Monkees, and Bewitched.
Harmon "passed away peacefully at home at the age of 87, surrounded by her family," according to the GoFundMe page, which said it was created to help cover her medical expenses.
"Those who knew her remember not just her talent, but her kindness – she was known to return money sent by fans, simply out of gratitude," it added.
Harmon, who had three children and nine grandchildren, later established a bakery in Burbank, California, "where she shared her warmth and generosity with her community".
