A man linked to Strictly Come Dancing will face no criminal charges after being arrested on suspicion of rape, Hertfordshire Police in the UK have said.
The man, who has not been identified, was arrested in London in October 2025 in connection with an alleged incident said to have taken place in 2024.
The alleged victim was reported not to be a contestant or professional dancer on the BBC show.
In a statement, Hertfordshire Police said no criminal charges would be brought. The force said the man, whose bail had previously been extended while inquiries continued, would face no further action after detectives concluded there was insufficient evidence to bring charges.
Police said early advice had been sought from the Crown Prosecution Service during the investigation.
Strictly Come Dancing is filmed at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, and runs annually on the BBC from September to December. Reporting by BBC News said the arrest was not connected to the most recent series of the programme.
The BBC declined to comment.
