A Northern Irish choir has gone viral online after they received over 10 million views for a performance video filmed at the Giant's Causeway.

Originally shot in very windy and rainy conditions last September, the performance saw more than 500 Rock Choir singers unite at the UNESCO-listed landmark on the coast of Co Antrim to sing a rendition The Cranberries song Dreams.

The clip has enjoyed a resurgence after it was reshared by the choir on St Patrick’s Day and has seen support from Scottish singer Annie Lennox and The Cranberries themselves.

It also featured on the Today show in the United States and viewed worldwide in Brazil, Mexico, and Europe.

Since launching in Northern Ireland three years ago, and more recently expanding into Dublin and surrounding areas, Rock Choir now has over 1,000 singers across Ireland.

Edward Mason, General Manager of the Giant’s Causeway, said, "The heartfelt rendition of Dreams left our team absolutely speechless. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical."

Rock Choir was established in 2005 by musician and singer, Caroline Redman Lusher, and has over 33,000 members participating in approximately 400 local communities across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

The choir has appeared on TV programmes such as The One Show, Britain’s Got Talent, Good Morning Britian, This Morning, BBC Breakfast, and BBC Comic Relief.
