A new waxwork of Taylor Swift will be unveiled at The National Wax Museum in Dublin next week.

The figure, created by a team of artists, captures Swift from her Eras Tour, and according to the museum "reflects her stage presence, from her expression to her outfit".

They added, "Every detail has been carefully designed to ensure an authentic and immersive fan experience".

Swift brought her record-breaking Eras tour to Dublin in 2024 and played three nights in the Aviva Stadium, where she talked about her love for Ireland.

Both of the singer's parents, Andrea and Scott, are of Irish descent, with ancestors hailing from Derry and Dublin.

Work by EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum traced her roots back to Irish immigrants who emigrated to the US in the 1830s and a great-grandfather from Dublin.

Swift, a fan of Aran wool jumpers, has frequently mentioned Ireland in her lyrics.

She went on holiday to Co Wicklow in July 2021 with her former partner, British actor Joe Alwyn, who was filming Sally Rooney's Conversations with Friends in Ireland that year.

She referred to their trip in Sweet Nothing, which was on the 2022 Midnights album.

The former couple also visited Co Limerick's Glin Castle, which is owned by Catherine FitzGerald and her husband, The Crown actor Dominic West, in December 2018.

"We are delighted to welcome Taylor Swift to the National Wax Museum Plus," said Paddy Dunning, Museum Director.

"She is a cultural phenomenon whose impact spans music, fashion, and storytelling, and her Irish descent from both her mother’s and father’s families adds a special Irish connection to the launch.

"She also shares her surname with one of Ireland’s most celebrated literary figures, Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver’s Travels, whom we also have a wax figure of.

"Having two prolific writers named Swift in our museum offers our visitors a unique opportunity to connect two cultural icons across generations within the same space."

The Taylor Swift wax figure will be on permanent display as part of the museum’s music and entertainment collection, joining other personalities from across the worlds of film, music, and history.
