Speaking about the track, frontman Steve says, "Nothing’s Going Well is about reclaiming your freedom, affirming your frustration and letting out every ounce of the pain that you felt in a suffocating relationship.
"This is probably what you’ll find in the diary of anybody struggling through their 20s."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
Steve: I never finish books or tv shows I like so they don’t have to end.
Ben: I have 17 guitars and one pair of shoes.
Grim: The music I listen to tends to be strangely different from the music I play. I’ll listen to some Kim Petras then go and play grunge.
How would you describe your music?
Steve: It’s affirmations for your frustrations about life in 2026. We aren’t serious people, so I have a lot of fun with our lyrics. We never sit still and we’re always laughing about something in between songs but there’s lots to be angry and tear up about - and that’s usually what inspires us most. We love to pair heavy thrash guitars and a crashing rhythm section with pop vocals, it's just so much fun. We always have stupid grins on our faces playing our songs.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Ben: Johnny Marr and Ville Valo are my two music heroes.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Grim: The first gig I can remember ever being at was Audioslave, but I was still too young to handle the noise and bass at the time.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Ben: Busted’s self-titled album.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Steve: Mona Lisa by Dinosaur Pile-Up. Must be one of the most fun songs ever written. It's mandatory to jump around your room when you hear it.
Favourite lyric of all time?
Grim: "It takes all of my restraint not climbing in your cranium to observe the way the furniture is arranged" - When You Know You Know by The Beths.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Steve: Say it Ain’t So - Weezer. That song just plays on repeat in my head regularly but it never gets annoying.
