EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is celebrating the Academy Awards this weekend with a 14ft golden award statue at Dublin's CHQ Building, while a Jessie Buckley Best Actress win could also trigger a free-entry offer.
EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum is set to unveil a 14ft golden award statue at Dublin's CHQ Building to mark the Oscars this weekend and celebrate Ireland's long-standing impact on film. The installation will run from 13 - 18 March.
The activation comes ahead of the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday, 15 March, with Irish talent once again firmly in the spotlight. Jessie Buckley is among this year's nominees, landing a Best Actress nomination for Hamnet.

EPIC said it will also mark any Buckley win with a special offer for visitors on Monday, 16 March, giving free admission to anyone named Jessie or Jessica.
The installation also celebrates Irish-American Cedric Gibbons, the designer of the original Oscar statuette. Gibbons also won 11 Academy Awards for Art Direction, a record that remains unsurpassed.
