Dancing with the Stars will celebrate its 100th episode with the return of former presenter and Westlife star Nicky Byrne for one night only this Sunday on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
Byrne will step back onto the dancefloor for the first time since 2022 - however, he will swap hosting duties for the judges' desk, joining the panel as a special guest judge.
He originally fronted the series for its first five seasons.
Speaking about his return to the show, he said, "I couldn’t be more excited to be heading back to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom.
"The show has been a massive part of my life for nearly 15 years - I’ve been a contestant on Strictly in the UK, I hosted five incredible seasons in Ireland and now I get to be a judge for one night only. It really is a full-circle moment for me.
"I’m really looking forward to the performances on the night because at the end of the day it’s all about the celebrities, professionals and the journey they’re on.
"I’ve been in those dance shoes before… I know the nerves, the pressure and the adrenaline, so I’ll definitely be encouraging and supportive… and if Brian gets out of line, I’ll be the first one sticking up for them!
"I can’t wait to see all my friends from the cast and crew again. It’s going to be such a special night - you only turn 100 once so as a great man once said, 'It’s going to be ‘Box Office!’"
Nicky also has first-hand experience of life as a contestant. In 2012, he competed on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, reaching the quarter-finals.
For this celebratory DWTS episode, Nicky will take his seat alongside judges Brian Redmond, Karen Byrne and Arthur Gourounlian, as well as newly appointed Head Judge Oti Mabuse.
Earlier this week it was announced that the final seven couples will each be coached by Dancing with the Stars All-Star mentor on the night as Des Cahill, Jake Carter, Mairéad Ronan, Ryan Andrews, Jordan Conroy, Brooke Scullion and Blu Hydrangea make their returns.
Dancing with the Stars - the 100th Episode airs Sunday at 6:30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
