Tell us three things about yourself . . .

Kayley "Hell Kitten" Davies: I was once booked as an extra in the Royal Ballet, I'm a BJJ blue belt and I’m not a natural blonde.

How would you describe your music?

Max "Leather Messiah" Newsome: It’s the kind of music Iggy Pop would put on whilst deciding which leather pants to wear before night out.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Kayley: Anyone who is out there making honest music and playing killer live shows. Special mention to Believe In Nothing, Hot Wax, Dull, Pray For Mojo and GANS.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Max: Linkin Park at the Apollo in Manchester when I was seven years old. This was when Hybrid Theory had just come out. I remember climbing onto the fence in front of the sound desk and watching a huge black hole open in the middle of the crowd and then disappear in a sea of bodies during Closer. Seeing the visceral electricity of a band charge an audience like that definitely left a mark on me and taught me the power live music can have on a person.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Kayley: I grew up in a Deaf household, so I didn’t really get into buying physical music early on. The first album I bought was American Idiot by Green Day. Pulling out the liner notes and taking in the whole concept and meaning of the record is definitely part of the reason why I love to put so much physical art into our releases.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Max: Electric Wizard - L.S.D.

Favourite lyric of all time?

Kayley: "I want something good to die for to make it beautiful to live" Go With The Flow - QOTSA

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Max: B52s - Love Shack. I don't think there's ever been a time where if that song has come on that I've turned it off. Make sure it's played at my funeral too in case I can still hear it.
