Jessie Buckley and Cillian Murphy set for Irish Film and Television Academy Awards

Irish screen stars will return to Dublin this weekend for the Irish Film and Television Academy Awards, with Jessie Buckley and Cillian Murphy among those confirmed to attend.

Hosted by Kevin McGahern, the awards take place on Friday, 20 February at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre and will be broadcast on RTÉ One on Saturday, 21 February at 10.50pm.

Other names due to attend include Steve Coogan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Aidan Quinn, Alison Oliver, Anthony Boyle, Danielle Galligan, Jack Gleeson, Fionn O'Shea, Peter Claffey, Niamh Algar, Lola Petticrew, Louisa Harland, Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, Siobhán Cullen, Genevieve O’Reilly, Lisa McGee and Róisín Gallagher, along with filmmakers Neil Jordan and Jim Sheridan.

Cork-set drama Christy leads this year's nominations with 14, followed by Saipan with 12. Buckley is nominated for her performance in Hamnet, while Murphy is in contention for Steve.

Oscar-nominated actor Ciarán Hinds will receive the IFTA Lifetime Achievement Award on the night.
