Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal and Cillian Murphy are among the nominees confirmed so far to attend this Sunday's EE BAFTA Film Awards in London, with BAFTA promising a night packed with A-list presenters and live performances.

Scottish actor Alan Cumming will host the ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall, which airs at 7pm on Sunday 22 February on BBC One.

BAFTA’s latest attendee list also includes major international names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Emma Stone, Carey Mulligan, Ethan Hawke and Michael B Jordan, with more nominees expected to be confirmed closer to the ceremony.

There is Irish interest beyond the acting categories too, with nominees confirmed to date including filmmaker Myrid Carten and producers Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe.

Murphy is also set to take to the stage as one of the presenters on the night, alongside stars including Glenn Close, Gillian Anderson, Bryan Cranston, Alicia Vikander, Kathryn Hahn, Kerry Washington, Hannah Waddingham, Riz Ahmed, Regé-Jean Page, Patrick Dempsey, Stormzy and Little Simz.

Music will play a big part in this year’s show, with EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, the singing voices behind HUNTR/X from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, performing the track Golden during the ceremony. Jessie Ware will also deliver an In Memoriam performance.

Two special honours will also be handed out on the night, with BAFTA confirming Donna Langley as this year’s BAFTA Fellowship recipient and Picturehouse Cinemas’ Clare Binns set to receive the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award.

On the red carpet, BAFTA says Clara Amfo and Ali Plumb will host a live stream on BAFTA’s YouTube channel, with Benedict and Hannah Townsend reporting across BAFTA’s digital platforms.
