Coronation Street has revealed five characters that could have been the victims of a murder in a flash-forward episode.
Megan Walsh (played by Beth Nixon), Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn), Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) and Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) could all be killed off in the 23 April episode of the popular soap.
The flash-forward episode, which will air tonight at 8:30pm on ITV and Virgin Media One, will open with a police interview taking place on 23 April, where Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) is seen telling the detectives about finding the dead body of someone she knows.
The episode then returns to the present day and shows viewers how the potential murder victims could have been targeted for the murder two months later.
Megan is seen caught up in a web of lies as she grooms teenager Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) while his grandmother Maggie could be at risk if she discovers the truth about Megan and Will.
Carl, who let Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) take the blame for the Corriedale accident which killed Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), has struggled since finding out Debbie is actually his mother and not his sister, and could be a target for murder.
Theo's coercive control over Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) could lead to him meeting his end while Jodie has been welcomed into the Platts’ house as Shona’s estranged sister, but she has been keeping secrets from them.
Coronation Street is on weekdays at 8.30pm on ITV and Virgin Media One.
