An inquest has heard that former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Robin Windsor died in February 2024, with the jury returning its conclusion at West London Coroner's Court.

The jury concluded that Mr Windsor died by suicide.

Jurors heard that a range of factors contributed to a deterioration in his mental health, including depression, loneliness, financial pressures and a lack of consistent support. They also heard he was described as vulnerable to rejection both emotionally and professionally.

Mr Windsor, 44, was found dead in a hotel room in Shepherd’s Bush, west London.

Following the conclusion, a BBC spokesperson said its sympathies were with Mr Windsor’s family and friends, adding that the inquest heard several complex factors contributed to how he felt at the time of his death.

Mr Windsor joined Strictly in 2010 and danced with partners including Patsy Kensit, Anita Dobson, Lisa Riley and Deborah Meaden.
