First images have been released for Spider-Noir, the upcoming Marvel series that will mark Nicolas Cage's first leading role on television.
The noir-inspired drama will be available in both black-and-white and colour when it debuts on Prime Video.
The live-action series, based on the Marvel comic of the same name, follows Ben Reilly (Cage), a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York. Following a deeply personal tragedy, Reilly must confront his past while navigating life as the city’s only superhero.
Irish actor Brendan Gleeson will also appear in the series, alongside Abraham Popoola and Jack Huston, with a number of guest stars set to feature throughout the run.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video, the first two episodes were directed by Harry Bradbeer, who also serves as an executive producer.
The series was developed by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot in collaboration with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal, the creative team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Cage is also credited as an executive producer.
Spider-Noir is set to premiere worldwide this spring, initially airing on MGM+ in the United States before launching globally on Prime Video in more than 240 countries.
