Anne Cassin has said she was overwhelmed by the good wishes she received from people around the country while taking part in Dancing with the Stars.

The Nationwide presenter and her professional dance partner Robert Rowiński lost out in the dance-off on Sunday's show, but Cassin said she would look back on Dancing with the Stars as "an incredibly happy experience".

"I have to say what's been overwhelming about this whole Dancing with the Stars is that I have received such messages of goodwill from people around the country, and that has really warmed my heart. It's meant an awful lot," she continued.

"So, while you're kind of in the maelstrom of steps and music and the hair and make-up, you actually remember that you're communicating with an audience that's all over the country. And that's a real honour."

When asked about who she thinks will make it to the final, Cassin stressed that she is "really fond" of every couple on the show.

"I think there are two or three very strong celebrities there," she said, looking ahead.

"But there's six weeks to go, so who will have the stamina to go the whole journey? I'm not quite sure.

"I would think that Katelyn (Cummins) is very strong, Eric (Roberts) is very strong, and Jordan (Dargan) is very strong.

"So, I think it's quite open. And then, of course, Tolü (Makay) is absolutely beautiful and gracious, and she just keeps delivering amazing performances."

Next weekend sees the remaining eight couples battle it out in Boybands vs Girl Groups.
