Betty Boo is best known for her hits Doin' The Do and Where Are You Baby?, which propelled her into the spotlight in 1990.

In 2022, after a 30 year hiatus, she made an unexpected return with the album Boomerang and 2024's Rip Up The Rulebook.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I'm Scottish Malaysian. I play tennis every day and I'm a qualified coach. I love cooking.

How would you describe your music?

Pop rap.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Public Enemy, Salt -N- Pepa and Blondie.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Def Jam Tour, 1987, Hammersmith Odeon, London.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough - Michael Jackson, 1979.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Wild Woman - Yungblud and Aerosmith.

Favourite lyric of all time?
