Dancing with the Stars frontrunner Katelyn Cummins and her professional dance partner Leonardo Lini have told RTÉ Entertainment that despite their high scores and popularity with the public, they have not talked about reaching next month's final. At all.

On Sunday's Dedicated Dance Week, when the judges' scores and viewers' votes were combined, the Rose of Tralee and her pro dance partner earned immunity for this weekend's show, which will feature the first dance-off of the current series.

The duo are still taking it one week at a time on and off the dancefloor.

"We just want to be the best every week - that's our goal," said Lini.

"We're not thinking about our scores or the final. We just want to make the best dance every week. That's the only thing we can control."

"We are both so happy, all of the past Sundays, that every dance that we've come off the floor having done has been the best version that we've done it as"

"We've had our struggles during the week, where we've had different falls and different slip-ups or maybe not being able to get a step right, but Sunday evening, it all comes together," continued Cummins.

"We are both so happy, all of the past Sundays, that every dance that we've come off the floor having done has been the best version that we've done it as. That is definitely the best part of it."

When asked if they had factored in that a week might not go to plan, Lini smiled and said: "Impossible!"

"We have some questionable teaching skills and learning abilities, but it's going really, really well so far!"

"This man works me so hard, I don't know if [that could happen]!" laughed Cummins.

"He's very good at training me, and he's very good at teaching me how to do dances. And I have to say, we have some questionable teaching skills and learning abilities, but it's going really, really well so far!

"So, I'm really hoping that every week it just stays going up and up. It's all that we can try and do."
