Former Love Island winner Jack Fincham has said he plans to return to rehab for two months after relapsing, and that he believes he would have faced addiction issues even without becoming famous.

Speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Fincham said he did not take a previous stint in rehab seriously because he did not think he had a problem, adding that addiction has been "a part of my personality ever since my adult life".

He said he does not link his difficulties to finding fame on Love Island, but that it gave him "more means" to do what he was doing.

Fincham also said he intends to use his public profile in a positive way, telling the programme he hopes sharing his experience could help others.

Last year, Fincham won an appeal against a six-week prison sentence for dangerous dog offences, with a judge instead extending an existing suspended sentence order linked to an unrelated driving matter.
