Carlow-based DJ Norberto Loco has collaborated with Irish alt-dark pop artist MICAH on new single, Savage Daughter. We asked Norberto the BIG questions . . .
Norberto is a DJ and producer and a Guinness World Record holder for the Longest Marathon Club DJing (200 hours non-stop). He has toured extensively across Europe, Asia, Australia, North America, and beyond.
Savage Daughter "draws on themes of ancestry, womanhood, and emotional inheritance, positioning the song as both a personal declaration and a communal rallying cry."
Tell us three things about yourself
Am originally Polish but in Ireland for over 20 years so this is my home.
In 2004 I did a Guinness World Record in longest DJing marathon 200h non-stop in Dublin.
I am fluent in sarcasm ;)
How would you describe your music?
I have been producing dance music for a good few years, mostly it was festival mainstage techno, but lately I started doing more commercial dance music. I would like to start making songs that have some meaning to the people.

Hans Zimmer.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Rammstein.
What was the first record you ever bought?
It was vinyl of Happiness and Loneliness by Tomcraft.
What's your favourite song right now?
Castle of Glass by Linkin Park.
Favourite lyric of all time?
Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Hans Zimmer - Gladiator.
