Sugar, who are led by former Hüsker Dü front man Bob Mould and feature bassist David Barbe and drummer Malcolm Travis, were one of the most acclaimed bands of the early nineties and tasted immediate success with their debut album Copper Blue.

They announced their return last year with the single, House of Dead Memories.

Speaking about their new single, Mould says, "I wrote Long Live Love in 2007 while living in Washington DC. It was the George W. Bush era; I was deep in my DJ world with Blowoff yet still writing pop songs on guitars.

"Garbage 2.0 is one of my desert island albums, so it's not surprising that 'Long Live Love' reminds me of a long lost Garbage song!"
