This is the second year of A Sliver of Light and this year's weekender also features German electronic stars Session Victim (Live), Berlin DJ Nick Hoppner, Icelandic singer JFDR, alongside emerging Irish acts Citrus Fresh, Goldbug, Oceanna, Smithereens, Vatican Jail, with DJ sets from Galway hero P Disconaut, Limerick's Frankie Downbeat, and Limerick’s Peter Curtin.
RTÉ Lyric Fm will be hosting and broadcasting a special edition of their Ambient Orbit show live from the festival.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I’m 31 years old, from Iceland, and I love gardening.
How would you describe your music?
It’s both ethereal and grounded somehow. You could call it atmospheric folk pop, or something like that.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Arthur Russell, Laurie Anderson and Enya.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
I went to a lot of concerts as a kid with my dad, who is a musician himself.. I remember going to the opera when I was for and was very moved by it. A memorable one is with a Balkan band that dad played with called Stórsveit Nix Noltes when I was 11. I just remember dancing a lot in a big circle to crazy Balkan music.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Gorillaz - Demon Days. So glad it was this one, 'cause the second and third I bought were not very cool …
What’s your favourite song right now?
Would be Better by Ganavya and Sam Amidon. So beautiful!
Favourite lyric of all time?
My all-time favourite lyrics are Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now. The first verse is my fav, where she is painting gorgeous pictures of clouds. "rows and flows of angel hair . . . ".
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Xtal by Aphex Twin.
