Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, Cillian Murphy, and Andrew Scott are among the stars to feature on the longlist for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards.
Buckley is longlisted in the Leading Actress category for her performance in the historical drama Hamnet.

Murphy is longlisted in the Leading Actor category for his performance in the school-based drama Steve.

Steve, which includes Murphy's Big Things Films among the producers, is also longlisted for Outstanding British Film.
Buckley's Hamnet co-star Mescal is longlisted in the Supporting Actor category, as is Scott for his performance in the comedy-drama Blue Moon. Blue Moon was filmed in Ireland and produced in association with the Dublin-based Wild Atlantic Pictures.
Hamnet's author, Coleraine-born Maggie O'Farrell, is on the Adapted Screenplay longlist for her work with director Chloé Zhao on the big-screen version of O'Farrell's bestseller.

Avatar's Irish visual effects lynchpin Richard Baneham, a double BAFTA and Oscar winner, is among the team longlisted for their work on Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Dublin cinematographer Robbie Ryan is longlisted for his work on the black comedy Bugonia, which has received multiple nominations and is produced by the Dublin-based Element Pictures. Ryan was previously BAFTA-nominated for his work on Bugonia director Yorgos Lanthimos' films Poor Things and The Favourite.
Armagh-born cinematographer Séamus McGarvey - a four-time BAFTA nominee - is longlisted for his work on the psychological drama Die My Love.
A Want in Her, the acclaimed documentary from Donegal writer-director Myrid Carten, which is an Irish-British-Dutch co-production, is longlisted for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer.

Akinola Davies Jr's family drama My Father's Shadow, which includes the Dublin-based Element Pictures among its producers, is another film that features in the longlist for the Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer category.
Writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson's comedy-thriller One Battle After Another leads the longlist with 16 mentions.
The final nominations will be announced on Tuesday, 27 January. The BAFTA Film Awards will take place at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, 22 February.
