Steo is given his marching orders in Friday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
Carol decides that Steo has run out of road after Lorcan is arrested as part of the stolen wine investigation - and Steo thinks it's business as usual in The Station.
"I came here to work," says Steo. "I'm not looking for any trouble."
"You've some neck, thinking that you still have a job here," replies Carol.
"What?" says Steo.
"Get your stuff," says Carol. "You're fired!"
