Amy Schumer has announced that she and her husband Chris have parted ways after seven years of marriage.

The Trainwreck star announced on social media: "Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years.

"We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son. We would appreciate people respecting our privacy at this time.

"Blah blah blah not because I dropped some lbs and thought I could bag s basket and not because he's a hot James beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail.

"Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever." she added.

Schumer, 44, and Fischer, 45, had been married since February 2018 and welcomed their son, Gene, the following year.

American publication Us Weekly said that the wedding took place in a rented house overlooking the ocean in Malibu, California with Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston, Larry David, David Spade and Judd Apatow in attendance.

"It was a very chill wedding. It was thrown together last minute," one source said.

"Most of the guests found out the wedding was happening from a text message sent out 48 hours before the event, sent by Amy. It was like, 'Hey, this is happening. If you can make it, great. If not, no worries'.

"It was a gorgeous day. Everyone was having a good time," the source added.
