Pop star Katy Perry appears to have confirmed her relationship with former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau, after sharing a photo of the pair cuddling on Instagram.
The 41-year-old singer posted a carousel of images from Japan, where she is currently on the Asian leg of her Lifetimes Tour.
Among photos and clips of sightseeing and meals out, one selfie shows Perry and Trudeau cheek-to-cheek in front of an autumn backdrop. The post, captioned "Tokyo times on tour and more" was shared with her 200 million–plus followers over the weekend.
Neither Perry, known for hits including Roar, Hot n Cold and I Kissed a Girl, nor Trudeau has commented publicly on the status of their relationship. However, the pair had already prompted speculation in recent months after being seen together in Canada and Europe.
Trudeau was reported to have attended one of Perry’s concerts in July, while footage published by TMZ showed them holding hands on a night out in Paris in October, during celebrations for the singer’s birthday.
