Speaking about Welcome Home, they say, "It's a concept album that traces the emotional arc of a love rollercoaster, from the rise to the fall, and everything in between. At its heart, though, it isn’t just a story of love lost, but of belonging."

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I am a former kickboxer, and I've practiced martial arts for many years.

Well, I am a cat lover. I just think they're the perfect creature on earth.

I am an assistant professor in inclusive education at Trinity College Dublin.

How would you describe your music?

Alt-rock/grunge fused with punk, post-rock, and nuances of noise.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Mainly, female-led bands from the grunge scene like Hole, L7, Babes in Toyland, Garbage, and more punk-leaning Bikini Kill. Sonic Youth and Nirvana would be the primal inspiration that led to all the rest.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Green Day, Insomniac tour.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Desire by Fontaines D.C.

Favourite lyric of all time?

Rest by Anhoni.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Bright Horses by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
