Singer Jessie J is to read a CBeebies Bedtime Story about "resilience and hope".
The 37-year-old mother of one will read My Path, written and illustrated by Jana Curll, on Friday night which tells the story of a snail navigating life’s twists and turns.
The Price Tag singer, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, said: "Every day, we follow our very own special path and it can take us in many directions. My path has led me here to read you a CBeebies Bedtime Story.
"Like the little snail in the story, we might experience bumps along the way and some big mountains to climb, but I say to myself, ‘keep going Jess’, and I hope that’s what little ones and grown-ups take from My Path too."
It comes after she shared a hug with Britain's Princess Of Wales at Wednesday night’s royal variety performance, having undergone breast cancer surgery in June, before revealing in August that she had to have another operation before the end of the year, leading to her postponing her tour.
The singer postponed her UK and Europe dates until April 2026, and she had to cancel the US leg of the tour.
Jessie J’s story will finish with her saying: "Every path is special, so choose yours … and keep going. Life is one big and beautiful adventure. Choose a happy path, believe in magic and live your best life."
Jessie J has battled with ill-health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020.
Previous CBeebies readers include Olivia Colman, Kylie Minogue, Billie Eilish, Lewis Hamilton, Harry Styles, Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy, Elton John and Idris Elba.
CBeebies Bedtime Stories is on each weekday at 6.50pm on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer.
