"Whether it’s an attempt to accept regret as an inevitable byproduct of experience, like in all the ways that we can break; an effort to understand how the fear of regret shapes our actions and thought processes in relationships, like in all I can breathe is sorry; or a reflection on coming to terms with our own shortcomings (I could’ve tried a bit harder).

"Ultimately, it’s an attempt to acknowledge, accept, and move forward in life the best way I can."

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I am a mechanical engineer, I have a black belt in kickboxing, I’m from Clondalkin.

How would you describe your music?

I experiment with a few different genres but this project is folk. I think lyrically I often use my songs as a way to document and digest moments in my life.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Bob Dylan, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Dead Calm were big inspirations for this project but in general the inspiration comes from anywhere and everywhere.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Rihanna in the O2, 2008.

What was the first record you ever bought?

I think it was either P.I.M.P. by 50 Cent or The Gummy Bear Song by Gummy Bear.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Either Last Time by Curtisy or Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"How strange it is to be anything at all"- In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
