Formed in early 2024, they released their debut single, In Comes The Fear, followed by Talking Too Much - "a tongue-in-cheek anthem inspired by a real-life encounter with casual sexism on the gig circuit".

November is available to stream now, while Don't Fool Me Twice follows on 28 November, with both tracks available on a limited edition double A-side 7" the same day.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

Our very first gig was King Tuts in Glasgow- a bold choice in hindsight but when the opportunity arose, we didn't want to turn it down! And it paid off; We ended up being the headline act of the night which then led to us solidifying further opportunities within DF Concerts and the Glasgow music scene.

A couple of us have been on Britain’s Got Talent and X Factor!

We chose the name "The Marches" after reading about the marches sisters in Little Women.

How would you describe your music?

Rock or pop/rock. We definitely started out with more pop/rock songs, our songs, Talking Too Much and In Comes the Fear, for example. Both quite catchy pop rock songs, however when we began to write together as a full band, we have established a more defined rock sound. I think this double A-side, November and Don't Fool Me Twice, shows both sides of our journey perfectly as we move from one chapter into our new chapter.

Who are your musical inspirations?

As a band we have quite a wide range of inspirations and these can be heard throughout our songs. November definitely gives us Taylor Swift vibes, which we love. And Don’t fool Me Twice has definitely been inspired by our rockier aspirations such as PJ Harvey, Fleetwood Mac, and The Cranberries.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

JLS

What was the first record you ever bought?

Every Second Counts by Plain White T’s.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Mangetout - Wet Leg.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"I made you my temple, my mural, my sky, Now I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life" - Tolerate it - Taylor Swift.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Life on Mars - David Bowie.

Where can people find your music/more information?

We are on all streaming platforms and try to be as active as possible on social media - especially Instagram - @themarchesmusic.
